- Student Administration
Each campus has an office dealing directly with student administration. Registration and enrolment of students and other administration associated with students is carried out at these offices under the directive of the Portfolio Manager.
- Finance
The Finance Portfolio oversees the management of the college accounting systems. Student finances and bursary fund management is also overseen by the Finance Office at each campus.
- Learner Support Services (LSS)
This Portfolio provides support to the students. Organizes SRC elections, training and development of student leaders, social and sports events for students. The Umsobomvu Youth Advisory Office is under LSS directive. Job placement and bursaries are arranged.
- Curriculum Management & Development
CM & D ensures that all courses are accredited, whether SAQA compliant, sanctioned by the National Department of Education or SETA driven. CM & D is in constant interaction with industry and the Department of Labour to ensure courses are relevant and that Coastal KZN FET students are placed in work situations.
- Quality Assurance
The QA office serves all levels of the college, making sure that all education and training offered takes place in an environment that satisfies legislative and industry standards.
- Human Resource Management
HRM manages all aspects of staffing, remuneration and employee relations. The HRM component strives to bring and keep the best staff to serve the students.
- Human Resource Development
HRD manages the development of all staff, especially the educators so that their qualifications and abilities are constantly upgraded to stay apace with skills demand.
- Public Relations and Marketing
PR & Marketing makes the college known to prospective students. A positive image of the college is promoted so that students benefit from being associated with this Centre of Excellence.
- Facilities and Infrastructure
F & I manages the physical environment in which education and training takes place from the grounds to the workshops and classrooms, ensuring that each facility is fit for the purpose as required.
- Information, Communication and Technology
This Portfolio manages both the training and the infrastructure for advanced information technology. There is internet access for students on a growing wide area network. Communication with the National Department of Exams is direct through IT networks ensuring that test and term marks, exam entries and results are processed in the shortest time possible for the benefit of students.
- Examination and Assessment
All campuses have offices dealing with the management of examinations and assessment processes to ensure integrity. Dissemination of results is also handled at these offices.
