N5 Entry Requirement: Mechanical Engineering N4 or equivalent qualification

N6 Entry Requirement: Mechanical Engineering N5 or equivalent qualification

Duration: 3 months for each level

Workplace Experience: On completion of the theoretical training, learners have to find employment with a registered company that will give them practical training in the place of work to gain the required experience before applying for a Trade Test. After a Trade Test, Artisan status is acquired.

The N6 certificate can be converted to a Diploma after 18 months of relevant experience.
